Mission Statement

The mission of SchoolFinances.com is to provide management and planning information to school districts. Our goal is to help Minnesota school districts become more "data based" in their planning and decision-making. Our reports and services have been endorsed by the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA). We are a business partner with the Minnesota Association of School Administrators (MASA).

The Financial Planning Model is operational in 79 school districts ranging in size from 400 to 28,000 students. The model can be used to simulate any revenue and expenditure planning scenarios. Other systems available include the Enrollment Planning Model for projecting district enrollment, the Revenue Planning Model for revenue preparation and the Teacher Negotiations Costing Model to assist in costing negotiations.

RESEARCH SERIES

One goal of SchoolFinances.com is to support data driven decision making in schools. In an effort to better support the information needs of school managers, we are introducing a comprehensive set of reports that we call our 2007-08 Research Series.

These management reports will provide information and systems to users about their school districts and how their district compares to other MN school districts
